Hockey Cheer Team

In the fall of 2017 NUFSC will be launching its first ever hockey cheer team! The team will perform at home games  for the New Ulm Steel.

What is Hockey Cheer?

In the fall of 2017 the New Ulm Figure Skating Club will be forming a Hockey Cheer Team for the New Ulm Steel! Hockey Cheer consists of dry land cheer in the stands, ice show/synchro type performances prior/during the game. The camp is open to Alpha – Freestyle 10 skaters interested in Hockey Cheerleading or just looking for a fun summer activity away from the heat.

Date: Wednesday, July 19, 207 & Thursday, July 20, 2017

Time: 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM (both days)

Registration Fee:
Deadline: June 16, 2017 $175.00 per skater
After June 16, 2017: $200 per skate

Camp Coach Molly

Molly Burmeister
Synchronized Skating Coach

Molly is a sophomore at Mankato State University. She is a US Figure Skating Gold Medalist in both Moves in the Field and Freestyle as well as Freestyle 8 in ISI. She is a member of PSA, ISI and USFS. She skated with the Burnsville MN Valley Figure Skating Club for thirteen years and was an Upper Great Lakes Regional Competitor. She also skated with the District 196 Figure Skating Team, Icettes, for six years. With the Icettes, she competed at ISI Freestyle 8 as well as skating on their varsity synchro team at the National ISI Winter Classic Competition and other local competitions.

Camp Coach Ellie

Ellie Elchert
Freestyle, Dance & Conditioning Coach

Ellie is a senior at Mankato State University pursuing a degree in Sports Management. Ellie holds a USFS Gold Medal in Freestyle, Moves in the Field and Ice Dance and a Canadian Gold Medal in Ice Dance. She is a 6 time Regional Competitor, a Jr. National Dance Competitor in 2007 and a North Atlantic Novice Finalist. She has also enjoyed skating pairs as an adagio pairs skater during her 5 years spent as a Professional Figure Skater with Feld Entertainment’s Disney on Ice.

Lauren Kramer
Cheerleading & Dance Coach

Lauren began skating when she was 7 in Rochester, MN. She was a member of the Rochester Figure Skating Club in Rochester, MN and participated in 11 annual ice shows. For six years, she was on a synchronized skating team that competed throughout the Midwest. Upon high school graduation, she had completed her novice moves and was working on the junior level. Lauren is a senior at MSU Mankato. This year will be her 3rd year being on the MSU Hockey Cheer Team which has been a great experience for her and she hopes to bring her hockey cheer knowledge to the skaters of this camp!
