Fall Private Ice Information:
-Registration will be first come first serve when registering on the website. We are still held to the 25 people on the ice so the first 15 skaters purchasing contracts will be guaranteed a spot (by timestamp of order) and after that will be put on a waiting list. You will be notified if we are able to fit you into the contract.
-Pod system is still in use, max of 25 skaters/coaches/volunteers per contract hour
-One “rink parent” will be required per session to help younger skaters with skates, watch over the skaters if they need anything. This will be a volunteer sign up similar to ice monitor sign up in the past.
-Only one spectator is allowed in the bleachers per skater. Please tie your skaters skates outside or in the car. No one besides the rink parent is allowed down by the boards/on ground level. The rink parent can help them as needed.
-Ice cost will be $15/hr for the Spring contracts.
-Contracts can NOT be split between family members (for example you can not buy a full contract and have two skaters split it in half. Each skater needs their own contract purchase. Can not split a full contract into two different days either)
-If you have two skaters and purchase a full contract, they may trade off week to week if they need to with their schedules, however you must have the correct name on the sign in sheet before it gets printed for the upcoming week
-NO requirement for contract hours for skaters this year with the exception that skater’s trying out for the ice show (solos, duets, trios) are required to sign up for at LEAST 2 contracts.
-Full contracts, No half contracts are permitted. If your skater chooses to only skate 30 minutes of their full hour contract they must enter the rink area with the pod at the beginning of the contract even if they choose to only be on the ice for the last 30 minutes. No new skaters can be introduced partway through.
-More flexibility with make up time for known dates that you are going to miss, no limit to how many dates you can make up. Registration will be locked each Sunday at noon for the upcoming week. Please notify Kitty Rader (firstname.lastname@example.org) for known dates you will miss and the date you want to do make up and she will make the requested changes on the sign-up. Each Sunday, sign in logs will be printed for the upcoming week, changes can not be made once those are locked and printed on Sunday at noon.
-Regarding any unknown missed time due to your skater or family member having the Covid-19 virus specifically, we will work with you so that you can make up that missed time.
-No walk on time is available.
You can schedule a time for a lesson with one of our coaches on your own if you would like a private lesson. Those lessons are paid separately straight to the coach. You can skate with or without a coach on this ice. If your coach is not there and you are signed up for private ice you can still use your ice. Refunds will not be permitted if your coach is not there as you can still skate without them. If you are receiving lessons from a coach on open skate and you are a club member, you MUST be purchasing private ice contracts through the club.
The following does not apply for Spring 2021 skating:
Private Ice Requirements for club members who wish to do private ice and/or have private lessons:
Beg. 1 – Beta: 1/2 Contract
Gamma – FS 2: 1 Contract
FS 3 and above: 1 Contract in Spring and Summer, 2 Contracts in Fall and Winter
Please complete a separate order for each skater if you are registering more than one.
Choose full contract option (1 hour). Next, under contract time, select which day and time you would like on the drop down menu.
For all orders enter your skaters name in the “Ship To” Section.
You can select pay offline for paying in full by check or if you want to break up your payments into 3 installments.
Checks are to be made payable to NUFSC and either mailed to NUFSC at PO Box 2, New Ulm, MN 56073 or dropped into the lock box at the rink by the 9th of the month.
All payments must be paid in full prior to registering for the next session.
There will be an ice monitor (rink parent) for Spring 2021:
There is a change to how the ice monitor will check everyone in. All skaters MUST come over and say their name to the ice monitor.
